Reading this passage of the book was much like shocking as attention-grabbing:" “When God spoke all things into existence, He spoke His words with intention.
Intention emerges from a heart that is fully convinced.
Faith is a knowing and a certainty that what is conceived in the heart and then spoken will come to pass just as designed.” ( From the book Keys of the Kingdom, by Dr. Jim Richards)
As I finished reading this, my mind rebelled, refusing to digest another paragraph.
I simply had this desire to wrap my mind around what I just read. I was engrossed, absorbed, almost transported to another reality.
All I desired is to have the courage to reach inside and find something.
I wanted to find out a bit more, I wanted to see where it leads to, so I followed the trail.
Then quietly, the verse from Matthew 12:34 came to my mind:
”For from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.”
Matthew 12:34 YouVersion Bible the LEB translation
“It’s your heart, not the dictionary, that gives meaning to your words. Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation, or words can be also your damnation”
Matthew 12:34 YouVersion Bible the MSG translation
Meditating on these passages started to leave such an impact on me. The truth of these words leaped out at me.
There was an explosion in my brain, of course, the right sort, the type that carries more possibilities than I could be daring to believe.
There were hundreds of ideas in that buzz of excitement about intention, words, and faith. I could feel them.
As I see it, my intention, words, and faith can be applied to good or bad, positive or negative; in other words, whatever is convinced in my heart.
After all, what is conceived in my heart, my mouth speaks the words; Fear or courage, anxiety or peace, love or forgiveness, self-love or self-hate, lack or abundance, striving or thriving, health or sickness, victor or victim.
The list can go on, with intentions conceived in the heart, the mouth speaks the words, then faith knows that once created and said, there is a reality to them!
Mind-blowing to me!
What I conceive in my heart matters most, even more than the power of my words, for when my heart is filled with love, joy, abundance, health, it beats with the pleasure of a new day and seeks chances to enrich my life and the lives of others.
A heart that conceives love, kindness, positivity, health, abundance, assertiveness speaks words as such. It is a heart after God’s own heart; all of God’s intentions were and are motivated by love.
It is a gift, not merely to the person who keeps the heart nourished, creating and communicating the godly things, with intention and faith, but to everyone whose lives she touches.
Such a heart speaks words that send out ripples of love that keep going in the present and into the future yet untold.
Not so good intentions conceived in my heart are like a life lived in the shadows, like a beautiful new blossom trampled underfoot; the purposes I create in my heart, the words I speak, are the responsibility of my choices.
God is love and love is God! He stays, He listens, He protects, He guides, and He loves. He is my companion, my serenity, and my true North! His love for us can fill our hearts with loving, healthy, and abundant intentions as often as we are willing to accept it, then let our words carry them out to us and to the world, and we will be blessed and be a blessing to ourselves and to all around us!
