Today I feel...I don't know about you, but I like to journal, it allows me to go deep within.

As I journal, I can withdraw from the outside world of stipulation and uproar, from all the voices and opinions that tell me how and what to be, and what will or will not happen.

Journaling helps me to find answers within me.

In this time of crisis and desperation, especially with social distancing, I decided to start a different kind of journaling, write about what I am thankful for, in such a time as this.

As I started to journal about these past weeks, it amazed me how many small and awesome ideas and opportunities had happened, that I am so thankful for…some things that would've not happened any other way, or in any different kind of season.

So I began to canvas some questions to myself daily:

What am I doing in such a time as this?

What can I be thankful for, in a season like this?

Am I letting anxiety or boredom get the best of me? Am I being glued to news channels or social media?

Am I impatient for all of this to be done and over?

Am I just wanting and desiring for life to get back to how it was?

Am I casting my cares on God?

With these questions in mind, I started to turn my attention to what I can feel and see:

All these fantastic little and simple things that keep happening in my life, things that I enjoy and I am happy for, that would've never happened without this season.

Time well spent on opportunities and chances that I couldn't do before, or I did not do before. New dreams and hopes for my future.

Rest and laugh.

Seizing the moment, seeing how life unfolded gives me the confidence to trust God, trust myself, and trust others, even more now than before.

I know we might get cabin fever...things might not precisely look on their bright side at the moment...but this is a fantastic season when we can do things, learn new ways, seize the moments and opportunities like never before...dream again...enjoy people and moments like never before...rest and refresh...find new passions and hopes...a fantastic season full of potentials and opportunities we might never actually get back, not like this....a season where we can see God moving in mighty ways amongst us.

And with the Coronavirus, I started journaling out of thankfulness, and I stopped writing from a place of desperation.
