To anybody out there today, who is waiting to have their prayers answered ,or who is just simply afraid to pray, for any reason....or afraid to pray because you are afraid of what suffering might cost you ..or surrendering just seems terrifying ...I want to encourage you with this little excerpt from Beth Moore’s bible study~The Quest~ ...it blessed my heart tremendously, and to be honest this is a lesson and truth I encountered and enjoy learning with Him, again and again and again... “ God esteems a bold request made in faith and awe. He would bless your faith even if he doesn’t grant your full petition. The prospect of surrendering fully to the glory of God can be terrifying if you perceive that a mortal can only legitimately glorify God through suffering, hardship and pain. Simply put, the glory of God is His God-ness. It is that which exults Him and makes Him conspicuous. God can be glorified in your suffering, but He can also be glorified in your joy. He can be glorified in your weakness, and He can be glorified in your strength.”(Beth Moore ~The Quest ~) “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you... and when My glory passes by, I will put you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.”(Exodus 33:19 and 22) “Witness the gorgeous inseparability of God‘s goodness and glory. He does not suspend His goodness for His glory’s sake Nor His glory for His goodness’ sake. Invite him to reassure your soul of the goodness of His glory.”(Beth Moore~The Quest ~) 2 Peter 1:3 assures us that “ His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” “When life feels dreadfully dark and you can’t see a single fleck of light, maybe it’s not too far a reach to think, perhaps God could have you in a crevice covered with His hand. He will be good to you, but it is possible to be blind to His goodness, until the blackness has ended.”( Beth Moore~The Quest ~)
