Fear, Fear I know your name!!

Have you ever noticed those times when fear was driving your decisions?

Have you ever felt that fear must have thought that you were faithless when it came for your heart...I have!

I struggled with fear for as long as I can remember, different seasons brought different fears...we all have our own worries that distract and preoccupy us.

Everyone experiences fear in their life. There are big fears, we are very aware of , and little ones, we may not even realize we have.

It begins as a thought,  and then creates emotions that can rule us. It often becomes a strong, intense feeling that tries to move us to make a foolish action , or tries to prevent us from doing something that would be good for us.

And One day, I just had enough...

“ when I am afraid I will put my trust in You” ( Pslm 56:3)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” ( Philippians 4:6)

I started to understand that fear is worry , and worry is simply rehearsing the problem, again and again, worry it’s really thinking the same thing over and over without a resolution ...

To be anxious is to worry about what could go wrong, which creates negative faith ..The louder your fear shouts , the smaller, God’s loving voice, becomes..

All these fears got me to one question : do I really trust God?

“The man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed.”(Jeremiah 17:7)

And one day I made a decision to overcome fear...I knew I had to start to see fear completely different...I also realized that I have to be careful and do not trade my peace for progress!

So how do I overcome fear? With practice..I started to look at each fear as a chance to practice trusting God..I established a routine for myself, when fear started to show up, instead of starting the worry-go-round, I started to welcome fear, I started to see that my fears give me a chance to practice trusting God...

So far, week after week, fear after fear, God has proved me that He can be trusted!

And what do they say about practice?

Yes, practice will make perfect...

Welcoming fear is not easy, but now I see fear as a training ground, where I grow and where I learn, not just about God’s faithfulness and love and provision, but also about myself! And as I see Him meeting my needs despite my fears, I can grow more confident that He can be trusted!

Discovering this gold nugget, was a real game-changer for me!

So What Has Fear Robbed You Of?

Remember courage is contagious!
