But honey, you can call me Quinoa ...I can add loads of nutrition and texture to your meals..I am a seed but I act like a grain, and in my defense I do a better job in nutrition then many other grains...I am packed with plant base protein and amino acids...
So if you are looking to zing up your diet with protein, fiber, vitamins and plus great taste and versatile texture I am your date...
I am a superfood good for you, deliciously organic, I am gluten free, and easy to incorporate into your meals...so what are you waiting for?
Ingredients:
1 cup Quinoa
I toast the Quinoa before cooking, just in a plain pan for few minutes , for more authentic South American taste
2 cups of water , bring to boil and add the toasted Quinoa, cook about 15 minutes, or till the water is absorbed and the Quinoa looks bigger
1 avocado
4radishes
1 tomato
1 cup garbanzo beans ( I use organic sprouts brand ) warm up in a pan and add spices like garlic/onion powder, smoked paprika, a touch of cayenne pepper and salt
2-3 green onions
1/4 Cilantro finely chopped
1/4 basil finely chopped ( optional)
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds
Mix all ingredients and you got yourself an amazing meal!and this is just one variation of the many, of the amazing Quinoa....
