My life was in disarray, filled with physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles.
But from this chaos, a message emerged!
"Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." (Jeremiah 17:14)
Do you pay attention to warning signs?
What about warning signs from your mind, body, or the life you are living?
And what do you do when your mind, body, and experience are trying to capture your attention?
Hello, and welcome to my corner of the universe!
2015 was a year of reckoning. Discovering tumors in my lower abdomen—a revelation that brought a mix of fear, questions, and, unexpectedly, a deepened appreciation for life, health issues became the catalyst for a profound shift in my life.
When I first heard the diagnosis, I felt like my world paused.
Suddenly, I was plunged into a realm of doctor visits, scans, and treatment options, facing unknowns I never thought I'd encounter
What began as a struggle evolved into an inspiring adventure, a journey of healing and growth that I had to embrace.
My journey to a deliciously organic life started right there in that mess, which was not only physical but also emotional and spiritual.
This journey, from mess to message, is a powerful testament to the transformative power of healing and growth. It's a beacon of hope and inspiration, shining brightly for all those on a similar path.
Let me introduce you to somebody. You've seen her before… and might even know her well. Can you envision her with me?
She fought tirelessly to break free from her thoughts, her emotions, and her despair. It was an exhausting battle, and she was trapped in a relentless cycle.
The walls she built were formidable, the chains she wore were heavy, and her mask was suffocating.
She was tired of pretending to be free when she wasn't and acting strong when she felt weak.
She hungered for freedom, purpose, and wonder.
She tried so many things: prayers, Bible studies, diets, teachings, and seminars, but no matter what, she was still a captive.
Tomorrow may be better, or it may be better for her to resign herself to her condition; after all, it is better not to hope and only be disappointed again.
She searched before for a key to set her free, so she concealed her chains and quietly moved within the confines of her walls.
Can you feel her pain?
Can you feel her frustration?
Like her, you may have heard it in the silence, felt it calling out to you, that small voice, that desire to start anew.
But then you question whether a fresh start with a happy ending is possible?
Like her, I was desperate for change in how I eat, live, think, love, work, rest, have fun, and believe there is a new beginning with a great ending. At that very moment, only one thing I was sure of, my whole life will change.
I needed to allow the Lord to transform my character, detox my brain, and reshape my heart.
I needed to untangle my mind to enjoy a healthy body and life!
Thankfully, the support and guidance I received, which I attribute to God, took me on a healing journey
His presence and guidance were my constant companions, helping me navigate the challenges and find the strength to heal.
I learned to trust in His plan for me, and this faith sustained me through the darkest times.
This journey is not just about healing; it's a joyous celebration of the journey itself. I embraced every twist, turn, and unexpected detour with hope and optimism.
It's a testament to the resilience and beauty of the human spirit, a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always a reason to celebrate my growth and transformation, empowering me with strength and resilience.
If I want to heal from my numerous infirmities, I need to do more than ask God to heal me—I must also seek His guidance on what part He would have me play in that healing.
My journey began with releasing the fears around my physical, spiritual, and emotional issues. I had to understand this was a crucial lesson in self-care, forgiveness, love, and trust.
I had to learn the beauty of letting go and accept that this was another wonderful lesson in self-love!
This emphasis on self-care is a powerful reminder that we are all worthy of love and care, especially ourselves. Prioritizing our well-being is not a luxury but a necessity, making us feel valued and important.
Through the challenges of illness, I learned to listen to my body, nurture my spirit, and embrace my emotions. This journey has been a delightful exploration of physical well-being, emotional resilience, and spiritual growth.
I've danced with nourishing foods, explored holistic practices, and engaged in playful conversations with Jesus, each step illuminating the path toward authenticity and joy.
I discovered that the path to healing is not just about finding answers but about savoring the moments of curiosity and joy.
I had to navigate this adventure, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and laughter and ultimately finding my way back to myself.
This became a journey of a lifetime! I learned it is about embracing the journey, not just the destination.
These past years, I have come to love life's lessons, even though I prayed and asked the Lord to make them gentle, not painful.
So nourishing and caring for myself became a spiritual pursuit rather than a pesky drag!
I came to believe that some form of suffering is inevitable, but it is how I deal with the pain that matters. Will I let this take me down, or will I ride straight into brightness and beautiful clouds?!
And I reminded myself that the sky is always blue above the clouds, a metaphor for the enduring beauty and hope amid life's storms.
This journey has taken me on a road where I started learning that no one's job is to permit me to live my life free and fully.
I had decided to live now, love now, and live in the moment, not in the past or future. This is what it means to me to truly embrace the present and all its joys and challenges.
This is my birthright! Embracing the present moment with all its joys and challenges is a source of constant encouragement and motivation on this journey of healing and transformation.
So, what does 'a life deliciously organic' mean?
It's not just about eating healthy; it's also about living a wholesome, natural life that promotes overall well-being. This is what I call 'a life deliciously organic '.
It's about counting the goodness and tastiness in my food, not the calories.
It's about realizing that my life is my story, not my mistakes.
It's about counting my blessings, dreaming, and never losing my sense of wonder.
I learned that I am a fruit tree, not a factory. Fruit trees grow quietly and thrive in calm. I knew it was not about how much I produced but who I am and how well I treat myself and others.
From the mess, something beautiful emerged.
I found peace in my place in the story of my God.
I was given a second chance to rebuild my life into something delicious, organic, fun, and beautiful.
